e's first vacation: indiana

the rest of our time in indiana was spent soaking up time with papa & momo! momo is great at collecting groupons the months before we arrive, so we always have such fun things to do while we are in carmel! and this trip was no exception! we went glo-golfing, a mini golf course lit completely by black lights. i had ellery in the ergo carrier, and she fell asleep about as soon as we started golfing. maybe we need to re-do her nursery in a "glo" theme if it makes her fall asleep that easy :)

we had tons of fun downtown at the mall, eating dinner at the spaghetti factory. one days the girls went shopping while kyle & his dad played golf. and of course there was plenty of time relaxing at home, with great food and wonderful conversation. and plenty of cuddles for ellery. as well as a lot of new toys that mysteriously kept appearing :) one of her new favorites - elmo!

 

while kyle and i were away in bloomington, papa & momo took ellery on her very first trip to the park, and for her first ride on the swings. they couldn't believe how much she giggled and loved it! so before we left to head back home, they wanted to take us there to show us ellery's new found love for swings. and though she did like them, she wasn't as enthusiastic or giggly as her first go-round. that was a special treat she reserved just for momo and papa :) regardless, we all had a fun time playing at the park with ellery before the three of us headed back to wisconsin.

thank you again papa & momo for such a wonderful trip to indiana. we love seeing you love ellery so well, gleaning your parenting wisdom, and receiving so much encouragement. we are beyond blessed to have you in our lives. can't wait for our next carmel trip!
