art day with the girls

katie invited ellery and i over for a little art day with scarlett & astella, the cutie pie little girls she nannies for. katie had found some great ideas on pinterest for art projects that babies can enjoy and that aren't super messy. we were excited to check it out. especially since i love arts & crafts, i'm hoping e got some of my artsy, creative genes :)

and if i had to base it off of her first art project, i would say she definitely did! even though she was the youngest in the bunch, ellery was the most into her project! katie put paint & paper in a ziploc bag, and let the girls go to town! they smashed the paint with their fingers, stepped on it with their feet, and e even decided to eat the bag a little bit, just to add a little flair to her creation. it was so fun watching her explore. and of course, her first masterpiece went right on the fridge! :)

we also have to say a big "thank you!!" to aunt jess & uncle matt for e's super cute shirt. she loves it, and loves you guys, too! it was so cute, we had to do a little photo session outside with it once we got home :)
